
The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan has officially issued Resolution No. 66, dated February 17, 2026, which formally extends the transition period for the country’s new RoHS requirements.
This decision provides a significant reprieve for manufacturers of electrical and electronic products who were facing the immediate implementation of Technical Regulation #517 ("Restricting the Use of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Radioelectronic Products").

The one-year extension for RoHS is a valuable window for manufacturers to align their supply chains with Uzbekistan’s requirements. However, the authorities have signaled that this delay is intended to ensure better alignment with international standards.
