ENACOM of Argentina issued Resolution RESOL-2019-5424-APN-ENACOM # JGM on November 21, 2019. This Resolution replaces the Resolution RESOL-2016-8967-E-APN-ENACOM#MCO and makes changes to the Resolution SC N 729/1980.

The main changes concern:

• Registration Documentation

In the resolution, you will find the updated list of documents required for a manufacturer, importer/dealer, and local representative.

• Applicants for the registration procedure

If a product is produced in Argentina, the manufacturer itself can apply to the registration. Otherwise, an importer or a local representative is the responsible entity who can apply for the registration of the product.

Please note, if the product has previously been registered by a local representative the responsibility for its compliance with the relevant requirements is on the local representative.    

• Registration of the equipment where item 8.2 of Annex I of the Resolution SC N 729/80 was replaced with the following:

To apply for the registration of the product, the manufacturer, importer or local representative must submit the technical documentation, such as specifications, block diagrams, operational manual, photos, etc. as well as test reports issued by the ENACOM recognised labs.
