Indonesia Issues New Regulation on the Use of Radio Spectrum Frequency Based on the Class License
The Ministry of Communication and Information Technology of Indonesia (KOMINFO) issued a new Regulation №1 of 2019 on the use of Radio Spectrum based on the class license.
The Regulation concerns telecommunication devices with the following technologies:
Telecommunication devices with transmittance below 10 mW
WPAN IEEE 802.15.4
5. Non-cellular LPWA and/or similar
Let’s review them:
WLAN devices can operate in a single or in a multi mode on the following Radio Frequency Bands:
2 400 - 2 483.5 MHz
5 150 – 5 250 MHz
5 250 – 5 350 MHz
5 725 – 5 825 MHz
When we talk about Radio Frequency Bands for WLAN base stations or access points, it is necessary to understand whether it is for indoor or outdoor use. It also should be mentioned that base stations or access points for indoor use should have embedded antenna.
LAA Telecommunication equipment can only be operated by cellular mobile network operators.
Non-Cellular LPWA can only be operated by data communication system operators.
