Ghana Reminds about Mandatory Certification Mark for Local Products

April 15, 2019

Ghana Standards Authority (GSA) reminds about the effective Ghana Standards (Certification Mark) (Amendment) Rules, 1970 LI 662 and 664 and encourages all local manufacturing companies in Ghana to follow these mandatory requirements to obtain a license for the Ghana Standards Certification Mark before selling or exporting any product.

Below is the layout of information for company registration number (Reg No) and Ghana Standard number (STD No) on the Conformity Mark.

The Certification Mark must be displayed visibly on product's labels with regards to the position and size.

The Conformity mark indicates that the product has been produced in accordance with the accepted Standard(s), inspected and tested by GSA, and conforms to the requirements of the applicable Standard.

The information has been prepared by the GMA Consult Group team.
