Mandatory Conformity Mark for Electronics and Electrotechnical Products in Morocco
The mandatory conformity mark for electronics and electrotechnical products became an important step that was made by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Industry, Investment, Commerce and the Digital Economy of Morocco to confirm the safety of the products.
The conformity mark of Morocco for electronics and electrotechnical products is the following:
The graphic chart resembling proportions of the conformity mark is available here.
However, the vertical dimension of the letter "C" of the conformity mark should be not less than 6 mm.
The mark should be affixed visibly, legibly, and indelibly to the electrical and electronics products or to its data plate.
The manufacturer has to prove that the product complies with the safety requirements of the effective regulations by presenting the relevant technical documentation and declaration of conformity. If the product meets the LVD and EMC requirements of Morocco, it is allowed to affix the safety mark to the product.
Importers can affix the safety mark by themselves up to July 31, 2019. After this date, the manufacturers have to affix the mark to the product before its importation proving that the product complies with the essential safety requirements.
Thus, the mark becomes the visible evidence to consumers and supervisory authorities, that the manufacturer guarantees its safety according to the effective legislation of Morocco.
