New Rules for Licensing and Energy Efficiency Certification of Lamps in Paraguay
On August 13, 2018, the Paraguayan Government published Resolution № 804, which established requirements and procedures as well as conditions required to get the Prior Import Licenses for incandescent and fluorescent lamps. The licenses must also include the mandatory Energy Efficiency Certificate.
According to this Resolution, the transition period ended on February 9, 2019.
Starting from this date, to get access to the market of Paraguay, importers must:
obtain the Prior Import License
show compliance with the requirements through a certificate of conformity
affix the appropriate energy efficiency label of the imported products
