Federal Communications Commission Reminds About Existing Rules for LED Lighting Equipment
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) draws special attention of LED lights manufacturers to the mandatory requirements existing for this type of products.
FCC has recently published a letter where it reminds the manufacturers and marketers of the LED lighting equipment that these products must be tested and complied with RF limits according to the relevant FCC standards before placing on the market of USA. In addition, the suppliers should remember that the products must be labeled and identified accordingly.
Based on the inspection carried out by the Enforcement Bureau, 21 companies manufacturing and distributing LED lights were found noncompliant with the existing FCC rules. Some of them signed the settlement agreement while others were exposed.
