Changes in the Name of the Nigerien Telecommunication Regulatory Authority

The Telecommunication Regulatory Authority of the Republic of Niger—Autorité Nationale de Régulation et des Télécommunications et de la Poste (ARTP)—has been renamed to Autorité de Régulation des Communications Electroniques et de la Poste (ARCEP).


The Government of the Republic of Niger adopted the legislative proposal on the establishment of the Electronic Communications and Postal Regulatory Authority—Autorité de Régulation des Communications électroniques et de la Poste (ARCEP).


As considered, such reformation will allow being very sensitive to the growth of the telecommunication area.


As it stands, there is no confirmation of any official changes in terms of devices subject to Type Approval in this country.
