According to the Decision of The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine № 355 dated by May 24, 2017 “On approval of the Technical Regulations of Radio Equipment” (UA RED TR), the technical regulations came into force in Ukraine starting from April 1, 2018.
The Ukrainian TRs for radio devices are identical to the Directive 2014/53/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council dated by April 16, 2014.
For the radio equipment covered by UA RED Technical Regulations the following separate UA Technical Regulations are not applicable:
The Technical Regulation №1077 on the electromagnetic compatibility of the equipment approved by the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on December 16, 2015. Nevertheless, the equipment must have an appropriate level of electromagnetic compatibility, established in the Technical Regulations for Electromagnetic Compatibility.
The form of conformity assessment is the Declaration of Conformity.
Radio equipment that is put into circulation (imported) in the Ukrainian market before April 1, 2019 can comply with the requirements of
- Technical Regulation for radio equipment and telecommunication terminal equipment (R&TTE)
- Technical regulations on electromagnetic compatibility of equipment
- Technical regulations for low-voltage electrical equipment
or only with the requirements of the Technical Regulations for Radio Equipment.
The radio equipment that will be put into circulation (imported) in the Ukrainian market after April 1, 2019 must comply with the Technical Regulations for Radio Equipment (RED).
