Chile Sets Amendments to Resolution on Short Range Telecommunication Devices
Resolution №1.517, 2018 of the Chilean Ministry of Transport and Telecommunications amends Resolution №1.985 of 2017. The amendments add several new frequency bands allowed for previously included equipment as well as increases a variety of their maximum radiated power limits.
The new resolution implements the following changes:
RFID devices can operate at 915-928 MHz, 913-919 MHz and/or 925-928 MHz
Wideband equipment (WLAN) may use the frequency bands
2,400 to 2,483.5 MHz
5,250 to 5,350 MHz
5,470 and 5,725 MHz
5,725 to 5,850 MHz
with a maximum radiated power of 1 W. Equipment restricted for indoor use may also operate in the frequency band 5,150 to 5,250 MHz, with a maximum radiated power of 200 mW and a maximum radiated power density not exceeding 10 mW/MHz in any 1 MHz band.
Output power allowed for the 915-920 MHz band is 500 mW.
