Argentina Sets Rules of Allocation of Shared-Use Bandwidths for Wireless Access Systems

The Resolution №581, 2018 by ENACOM approves a plan to allocate portions of the radio frequency spectrum for Wireless Access Systems in shared-use bandwidths.

Information technology services along with fixed and mobile communications should use the following bandwidths without a license on a non-exclusive basis:

915 - 928 MHz

2.4 GHz

5 GHz

57 - 71 GHz bands

in conformity with the specifications provided in the resolution.

All the equipment used for the emission in the radio frequency bands must meet the following conditions:

• It must comply with the regulations regarding non-ionizing radiation, and may not exceed established limits

• It must function and be produced in accordance with technical standards defined by the National Communications Agency and operate exclusively in the established frequency bands

• It must be duly homologated or have the type approval certificates determined by the National Communications Agency
