The Russian Accreditation Authority (Federal Service for Accreditation—RusAccreditation) has inspected the activities of Russian certification bodies, organizations, and testing laboratories for possible violations.
During March 2018, RusAccreditation conducted 157 inspections.
The inspections were made to:
Eliminate non-compliance with accreditation criteria;
Assess the implementation of previously issued injunctions;
Reveal possible violations by accredited individuals.
During the inspection of certification authorities, some violations have been revealed and:
20 accreditation authorities received temporary injunctions in order to fix violations;
12 accreditation authorities were suspended including 2 certification bodies, 8 test laboratories, and 2 organizations;
31 judicial acts were issued to bring to justice those violators.
Some of them had to pay a fine for violations:
SoyuzTest (renamed to the SIGMA, Ltd) had to pay $880.000;
Center Certification of products and tests Ltd had to pay $853.000;
Five of them due to inobservance of earlier issued injunctions:
West Siberian Engineering Networks, Ltd.—RA.RU.311928;
Aquatechnik, Ltd.—РОСС RU.0001.310308;
Expertise of projects, Ltd.—РОСС RU.0001.610098;
Industrial Service Corporation, Ltd.—РОСС RU.0001.610209;
Two due to ignoring inconsistencies in the accreditation criteria revealed during the procedure for the confirmation of competence.
RusAccreditation together with the Russian supervision authorities will continue to conduct serious work to prevent the flow of potentially hazardous products into the Russian market circulation along with the elimination of dishonest participants.
