Changes in National Frequency Plan of Nigeria

Recently, Nigeria made adjustments to its National Frequency Table of Allocations. The Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC) extended the list of frequency bands allowed for the commercial use.


The Frequency Allocation Table for commercial frequencies assigned by the Nigerian Communications Commission are listed below:


  • 450 MHz

  • 800 MHz (LTE)

  • 900 MHz  (GSM)

  • 1800 MHz (GSM)

  • 2100 MHz (3G)

  • 2.1 – 2.3 GHz

  • 3.5 GHz

  • 5.4 GHz

  • 10.5 GHz

  • 26 GHz


Conclusion: The new bands can be used by all stakeholders within National Frequency Plan of Nigeria.
