Belarus effective date of Energy Efficiency requirements for some categories of electrical products has changed

Some amendments were made to the Decision No. 849 regarding the effective date of Energy Efficiency requirements for some categories of electrical products.


According to the Decision No. 156 dated 28 February, 2018 - Energy Efficiency requirements will become mandatory to the following products from January 1st, 2019:

- TV sets

- TV monitors

- Microwave ovens


Thus, apart from the EAC approval the following product categories became subject to EE approval in Belarus from the effective dates listed below:



According to the Technical Regulations of Belarus No 5.2.27, it is possible to obtain national certificate of conformity against energy efficiency requirements before the scheduled date with an effective date as of 01.07.2018 or 01.01.2019.


National requirements for energy efficiency of the Republic of Belarus are fully harmonized with the European EE requirements and up to September 2018 can be confirmed on the basis of documentation procedure based upon relevant EU Energy Efficiency test reports.


Apart from the national EE CoC of Belarus, EE label (if relevant) will be required to confirm the compliance of the product with the EE requirements as well as national conformity mark.


Please be advised that national conformity assessment procedure against EE requirements in Belarus remains valid before the effective date of the EAEU Technical regulation “On the Energy Efficiency requirements for energy-related products”.
