National Conformity Marks in Belarus

May 10, 2018

There are two types of conformity assessment procedures within the National Conformity Assessment System of the Republic of Belarus:

1. Mandatory conformity assessment procedure in the form of:

  • Mandatory certification

  • Declaration

2. Voluntary conformity assessment procedure in the form of:

  • Voluntary certification

In accordance with TCP 5.1.08 "National Conformity Assessment System of the Republic of Belarus. Conformity Marks. Description and application procedures." and Conformity assessment rules of the National Conformity Assessment System of the Republic of Belarus, the following conformity marks are applicable to the Mandatory and Voluntary conformity assessment procedures:

Mandatory procedures:

1.1. Products subject to the following Belarusian Technical Regulations requirements

must be marked with the TP BY mark. The national conformity mark TP BY contains letters “T” and “P”, symbolizing the abbreviation for Technical Regulation, that are placed in a round-ended frame that is broken by a graphic symbol BY that symbolizes Belarus.

The graphic symbol of the National Conformity Mark TP BY is shown in Figure 1:

In this Figure, "a" is a minimum measurement unit of the reference grid.

Minimum size "H" shall be at least 5 mm.

The conformity mark placed on equipment must be visible, legible, and indelible.

1.2. Products subject to the Government Decision №849 (Telecom and Energy Efficiency requirements) can be marked with the СТБ conformity mark. The National Conformity Mark СТБ contains Russian letters C, Б, and T placed inside of C symbolizing national standards of Belarus.

It features the National Conformity Mark СТБ containing Russian letters C, Б, and T placed inside of C symbolizing national standards of Belarus that are put inside of a round-ended frame.
