Energy efficiency requirements in Belarus for household appliances
According to the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of Republic of Belarus No. 849, dated 21 October 2016 together with the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of Republic of Belarus No. 77, dated 17 February 2017, consumer products became subject to energy efficiency requirements in Belarus.
Starting from July 1st, 2018 the following product categories must be approved not only against the EAEU Technical Regulations (EAC mark) requirements, but also against the National standards of Belarus (STB mark) with regards to energy efficiency requirements to get access to the market of Belarus:
According to the Technical Regulation of Belarus No. 5.2.27, it is possible to obtain national certificates of conformity against energy efficiency requirements before the scheduled date, but with an effective start date of 01.07.2018.
National requirements for energy efficiency of the Republic of Belarus are fully harmonized with the European EE requirements and up to September 2018, can be confirmed on the basis of documentation procedure without samples on the basis of relevant EU Energy Efficiency test reports.
Apart from national EE CoC of Belarus, EE label will be required to confirm the compliance of the product to EE requirements as well as national conformity mark.
EE label examples for various products
Starting from July 1st, 2018 energy efficiency requirements for some categories of consumer products will come in force in Belarus.
National certificatex of conformity against energy efficiency requirements can be obtained before the scheduled date with an effective date of 01.07.2018.
EE label and conformity mark should be affixed when EE requirements has been confirmed.
