Act No. 14448 has entered into force on the 2nd of January 2018, it amended Act No. 11542 approving technical requirements for the conformity assessment of restricted radio communications equipment.
Act establishes the following changes:
-Sub-item 4.1.6, determines the applicability of technical requirements of Electromagnetic Compatibility (will enter into force 90 days after the publication);
Conformity assessment for Electromagnetic Compatibility shall comply with current technical requirements with the exception of radiated emission tests and immunity to radiated radio frequency disturbances.
-Emission limits outside the range or spurious (the limit of 1,500 microvolts per meter measured 3 meters away) for the frequency bands 72-73 MHz, 74.6-74.8 MHz and 75.2-76 MHz;
-Change of the frequency band of restricted use for wireless microphones from 614-806 MHz to 614-698 MHz.
Act 14448 also combines some sections adding them to a single System for Transmission of Audio, Video and Other Application.
