New Technical Regulation on LVD and EMC in Serbia

Starting from July 2017 new regulations in the field of safety of low voltage electrical equipment and electromagnetic compatibility became applicable in Serbia.

 

The Rulebook on Electromagnetic Compatibility contains:

 

- Essential requirements for electromagnetic compatibility and other requirements that equipment shall comply with in order to be supplied on the market and/or put into service;

- Presumption of conformity;

- Conformity assessment procedures for equipment;

- Contents of technical documentation;

- Conformity marking and affixing thereof;

- Declaration of conformity and model thereof;

- Requirements that conformity assessment body shall comply with and safeguard clause.

 

The Rulebook on electrical equipment intended for use within certain voltage limits contains:

 

- Principal elements of the safety objectives for electrical equipment and other requirements that electrical equipment shall comply with in order to be supplied on the market;

- Presumption of conformity;

- Procedures for conformity assessment of electrical equipment;

- Contents of technical documentation;

- Conformity marking and affixing thereof;

- Declaration of conformity and model thereof;

- Requirements that conformity assessment body shall comply with and safeguard clause.

 

Both Rulebooks are accompanied by the Lists of Serbian standards in the field of electromagnetic compatibility and in the field of electrical equipment which are regularly updated in accordance with the list of harmonized standards published in the Official Journal of the EU.
