New EMF / ERGO / EMC requirements in Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU)
New requirements for the IT / RTTE / Lighting and Household appliances for the EAEU market access have come in force starting from November 26th, 2016.
The applicable EMF standards must be covered by the EAEU CoC / DoC for the IT / RTTE / Lighting and Household appliances as well as the Ergonomic requirements that must be taken into account for the display means. The specific EMC standards also must be covered by the EAEU approvals for all the radio communication equipment as well as for the telecommunication network equipment.
1. Scope of EMF requirements
The EMF standards for the IT, MME equipment, Lighting and Household appliances have been included in the unified list of standards for the EAEU Technical Regulation 004/2011 on LVD. The Technical Regulation is applicable for all the low-voltage devices designed for the use with a voltage rating of 50-1000 VAC and 75-1500 VDC.
The following EMF standards are applicable for the IT and MME devices:
GOST IEC 62479:2013 (IEC 62479:2010)
GOST IEC 62311:2013 (IEC 62311:2007)
If the product does not include RF modules - the product complies with the EMF requirements without additional testings.
The following EMF standard is applicable for Lighting:
GOST IEC 62493:2014 (IEC 62493:2009)
If the product do not include electronic control device - the product complies with the EMF requirements without additional testings.
The following EMF standard is applicable for the Household appliances:
GOST EN 62233:2013 (EN 62233:2008)
2. Scope of Ergonomic requirements
The Ergonomic requirements are applicable for all the means for displaying personal information.
LCD monitors, tablet PCs, laptops and other products with screens must comply with the National Ergo. standard GOST 31210:2003 (ISО 9241-3:1996, ISО 9241-8:1997).
3. Scope of EMC requirements for wireless and wired telecommunication equipment
All the radio communication equipment must comply with the base standard GOST EN 301 489-1:2015 (ETSI EN 301 489-1:2011) and all the applicable specific parts of the standard, depending on the exact RF module. The telecommunication network equipment must comply with the national standard GOST R 55266:2012 (EN 300 386:2010).
To put the product on the EAEU markets all the applicable requirements must be confirmed and approved with the common EAEU CoC / DoC procedures.
