Changes in Customs Union (EAEU) regulations

Starting from 22.12.2016 new requirements for market access (CoC / DoC) to the Customs Union (EAEU - Eurasian Economic Union) will come in force by the Decision #154 dated 15.11.2016 of the EAEU Commission:

The two main changes that will take place are:​

  • The APPLICANT for the CoC / DoC can only be a legal entity registered in the territory of the Customs Union (EAEU) - local manufacturer, retailer or an authorised Local Representative. Foreign manufacturer is not allowed to be the applicant for the CoC / DoC in the CU (EAEU).

  • The CONTENT of the CoC / DoC will now have to mandatory include the list of an applicable standards in the CU (EAEU) or, country-specific standards, if there are no common standards in place in the CU (EAEU).​

Note, that all the CoCs / DoCs issued before 22.12.2016 will still be valid until their respective expiry dates.
