Thailand Establishes New Requirements for Telecommunications Equipment

The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission of Thailand (NBTC) issued two national technical standards NBTC TS 1036-2563 and NBTC TS 1037-2563 The laws became effective on February 1, 2020. NBTC TS 1036-2563 establishes the minimum RF technical characteristics and minimum performance requirements for NR User Equipment operating in International Mobile Telecommunications (IMT) Services using IMT 2020 Technology. Operating frequencies for these equipment must comply with the IMT frequency plan or requirements prescribed by the NBTC. Indonesia Issues New Decree on Recognition of Foreign Test Labs for Telecommunication Devices

Recently, the SDPPI of Indonesia issued Decree 36 of 2020 regarding the recognition of foreign test labs for telecommunication devices. This decree concerns telecommunication devices different to mobile phones, tablet computers, and handheld computers. According to this Decree, it is possible to provide test reports issued by foreign test laboratories that have accreditation under ISO/IEC 17025 and have the relevant accreditation certificate. The Decree contains a list of 150 recognized foreign test labs. This list is valid only for six months. Please note that the test report should contain information on the responsible expert with contact details, namely: phone number and email address. M

The Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) revised and issued the Radio Standards Specification RSS-310 (issue 5) “on licence-exempt radio apparatus: category II equipment”.
