Yemen Updates Type Approval Procedure

The Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology (MoTIT) of Yemen amended the type approval regulation.

Today, if you want to get a type approval certificate for radio or telecommunications terminal equipment, you should know that the application can be accepted only for one production site. It means that if you have several production sites and want to certify all of them, you should apply for each site separately. However, the good news is that the validity of the certificate has been extended. Now the certificate will be granted for 3 instead of 1 year. Another important update is the fee that has also increased. However, the total value still remains favorable due to extended certificate validity.

The information has been prepared by the GMA Consult Group team.
