The Ministry of Science and Technology (MST) of Vietnam has issued Circular No. 01/2025/TT-BKHCN that amends Circular No. 08/2021/TT-BTTTT (“List of License-Exempt Radio Devices and Accompanying Technical and Operational Conditions”), originally dated October 14, 2021. 

The key changes concern the addition of the 6 GHz Wi-Fi band (5925-6425 MHz), which officially became valid from May 15, 2025. 

Additions by MST 

• Frequency conditions and emission limits of Appendix 2 from Circular No. 08/2021/TT-BTTTT are amended as follows:

• Technical and operational conditions applied to license-exempt wireless local area network (WLAN/RLAN) devices of Appendix 10 from Circular No. 08/2021/TT-BTTTT are amended as follows:

• Section 2, “Classification of Limits for Unwanted Emission Limits and Unwanted Emission” is expanded with clauses 2.25 and 2.26
  
  2.25 Unwanted Emission Limits 25: (Ensure compliance with the unwanted emission limit of the transmitter according to ETSI EN 303 687 V1.1.1 (Note 3))

Additional MST amendmens:

• Frequency conditions and emission limits of Appendix 2 from Circular No. 08/2021/TT-BTTTT are updated as follows:

• Technical and operational conditions of the bands "326.5 kHz, 340 kHz" and "353-373.5 kHz" to the bands "315-400 kHz" applied to license-exempt wireless power transfer devices of Appendix 16 from Circular No. 08/2021/TT-BTTTT as follows:
