Indonesian National Certification Bodies and Labs Put Their Work on Hold

SNI and SDPPI of Indonesia announced the delay in work for the upcoming few weeks as the majority of the officials and experts from the government and certification bodies now are working from home.

Most of the SNI labs are temporarily on hold. Production audits are also delayed. The majority of them are probably suspended until the end of May.

Recently, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Communication and Information announced in the Circular No. 04 Tahur 2020 “On the the Follow-Up Efforts to Prevent the Spread of Covid-19” that the Directorate General of Posts and Information Resources and Equipment (SDPPI) does not give Consultation on Telecommunication Equipment and/or Equipment Certification procedure directly or in person. In case there is a need in consultation, the Directorate proposes to contact the Head of Posts and Information Resources and Equipment certification sector.

The full text of the announcement can be found here.
