India Updates Extension for ERs under MTCTE Procedure

The Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC) of India has issued a Supplement to its office letter and addendum dated January 29, 2025 and October 16, 2025, regarding exemptions for certain parameters and interfaces of ERs under the MTCTE procedure.

The Supplement grants an exemption from submitting test reports for the following test parameters related to LAN switch ERs under MTCTE:

Please note that the above-mentioned parameters are exempt until April 30, 2026, provided that they are not supported by the equipment submitted for certification. In such cases, the OEM must upload a declaration on the MTCTE portal, confirming that the equipment does not support the specified parameters, for each relevant entry.

The exemption remains valid until April 30, 2026, or until further orders, whichever comes earlier.
