The Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection of Taiwan (BSMI) issued a series of standards with regard to the safety of toys in general and the migration of certain elements in toys in particular.
The detailed information on the new standards you can see below:
The standards are based on the international standards and European norms. These series of 4797 standards apply to all toys with some exceptions and specify requirements and test methods as well as maximum acceptable levels and methods of sampling and extraction prior to analysis for the migration of chemical compounds from toy materials and from parts of toys.
The CNS 14276 is based on the IEC 62115: 2017 and contains safety requirements for electric toys that have at least one function dependent on electricity.
This standard covers the safety of electric toys taking power from any source, such as batteries, transformers, solar cells, and inductive connections.
